FAQs
Questions, answered properly
If yours is not here, call or message us. Nothing about a move is a silly question — the expensive surprises all come from things nobody asked about.
Where do you work?
Rīga and every district of it, the surrounding Pierīga municipalities, Jūrmala, and anywhere else in Latvia. We also move households and offices from Latvia to other EU countries by road, and back.
How much does a move cost?
It depends on how much there is, which floors you are on at both ends, whether there is a working lift, and whether you want us to pack. That is why we quote rather than publish a price list. A quote is free, takes a few minutes on the phone or over WhatsApp, and is given to you in writing.
How far ahead should I book?
A week or two is comfortable, and the end of the month is always the busiest time because that is when tenancies end. That said, we take last-minute bookings whenever we have a crew free — it is always worth asking.
Are my things insured?
Yes, in transit. Items that we packed ourselves are covered fully; items you packed yourself are covered against damage to the box and to the vehicle, which is the usual industry position and the main practical reason to let us do the packing. We will explain exactly what applies to your move before you book.
Do you supply boxes and packing materials?
Yes. Boxes, tape, bubble wrap, packing paper and furniture covers are included in the packing service. If you would rather pack yourself, we can deliver materials to you a few days beforehand.
Will you take furniture apart and put it back together?
Yes — beds, wardrobes, desks and shelving as a matter of course. For anything unusual or bespoke, send us a photo when you ask for the quote, so the crew arrives with the right tools and the price does not change.
There is no lift and I live on the fifth floor. Is that a problem?
No, but it needs to be in the quote. Stairs mean more people and more time, and a quote given without that information is a quote that will change on the day. Tell us the floor and whether there is a lift and we will price it properly.
Can you move a piano?
Yes. Uprights, baby grands and grands, with the right board, skates and crew. It is quoted separately from the rest of the move because it needs different equipment. Send a photo of the instrument and of the stairwell.
Do you provide storage?
Yes — clean, dry, heated and alarmed, priced by the volume you actually use rather than by a fixed unit size. Collection and delivery are included, so you never need to hire a van yourself.
Do you disconnect washing machines and other appliances?
We disconnect and reconnect washing machines, dishwashers and fridges where it is a matter of a hose and a plug. Anything requiring a licensed plumber, gas fitter or electrician is not something we will touch, and we will say so before the day rather than on it.
Is there anything you cannot transport?
Petrol and other fuels, gas canisters, open tins of paint, fireworks, and live plants on long international journeys. Documents, jewellery, medication and keys should travel with you rather than in the van.
Do you work at weekends?
Yes, Saturdays and Sundays, at the same rate as a weekday. Most people move around a job, and charging extra for that would be a strange thing to do.
How do I book?
Call or message Igor on +371 23 992 899, or send an email. Tell us the two addresses, the floors, the date and roughly what there is. You will get a written quote, and the date is held once you confirm it.
Still not sure?
Message us with the specifics of your move and you will get a straight answer, not a sales call.
